
We are seeking a highly driven AGM – Merchandising to lead costing strategy and end-to-end execution for woven shirts and tops. The role demands strong commercial acumen, factory coordination expertise, and the ability to drive bulk production with precision, speed, and profitability.
This position plays a critical role in aligning buyer expectations, costing efficiency, and production execution to ensure on-time delivery and margin optimization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Costing & Commercial Management
Lead accurate product costing for woven shirts and tops (CM, FOB, SMV-based costing).
Analyze fabric consumption, trims, washing, and finishing costs to optimize margins.
Negotiate pricing with buyers while maintaining profitability targets.
Work closely with sourcing, IE, and production teams to achieve cost efficiency.
2. Order Execution & Bulk Management
Drive end-to-end order execution from development to shipment.
Ensure T&A adherence and timely approvals (lab dips, PP samples, size sets, etc.).
Monitor bulk production status, identify risks, and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
Ensure smooth coordination between merchandising, production, QA, and logistics teams.
3. Buyer & Stakeholder Management
Act as the key point of contact for international buyers.
Manage order negotiations, changes, and escalations effectively.
Build strong relationships to secure repeat and long-term business.
4. Team Leadership
Lead and mentor a team of merchandising professionals.
Allocate styles/orders effectively across team members.
Drive accountability, performance tracking, and continuous improvement.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with:
Production & Planning
Industrial Engineering (IE)
Quality Assurance
Sourcing & Procurement
Ensure seamless execution aligned with buyer requirements and factory capabilities.
6. Compliance & Delivery Excellence
Ensure all orders meet quality, compliance, and delivery standards.
Manage shipment planning and coordination with logistics teams.
Minimize delays, claims, and penalties through proactive execution.
Candidate Profile
Proven experience in woven merchandising (shirts & tops) within Bangladesh.
Strong expertise in costing, negotiation, and bulk execution.
Experience working with reputed international buyers/brands.
Ability to handle high-volume orders and multiple styles simultaneously.
Strong leadership capability with prior team handling experience.
Excellent communication and commercial negotiation skills.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Textiles, Apparel Manufacturing, Fashion Merchandising, or related field.
Professional certifications in merchandising or supply chain will be an added advantage.
