
We are hiring a proactive and detail-driven Store & Warehouse Executive to support end-to-end warehouse operations at a manufacturing facility in Katunayake. This role focuses on maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring smooth material flow, and supporting production through efficient coordination and system-driven processes. The ideal candidate should be hands-on with SAP and Excel, with a strong focus on accuracy, discipline, and operational efficiency.
Key Focus Areas & Responsibilities:
Support daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and issuing of raw materials and finished goods in a structured and timely manner.
Maintain accurate inventory records and execute stock control practices to ensure optimal stock levels and minimal variances.
Record and track all material movements in SAP ERP, ensuring real-time system accuracy aligned with physical stock.
Utilize Excel for inventory tracking, reporting, stock aging analysis, and basic KPI monitoring.
Assist in conducting cycle counts and annual physical stock verifications, highlighting and resolving discrepancies.
Ensure proper organisation, layout, and space utilisation within the warehouse while maintaining 5S and safety standards.
Coordinate closely with procurement and production teams to support uninterrupted material flow and avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.
Maintain accurate and audit-compliant documentation for all inward and outward stock movements (GRN, MRN, dispatch notes, etc.).
Support safe handling and storage of materials, including high-value or sensitive items, as per company guidelines.
Pre-Requisites:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, Business Administration, or Diploma/Certificate in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is also preferred.
3 - 5 years of experience in stores or warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment.
Mandatory hands-on experience with SAP ERP for inventory and material transactions.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis.
Good understanding of inventory control practices and warehouse processes.
Strong attention to detail with an analytical mindset to identify discrepancies and improvements.
Effective communication and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven operational environment.
Nice to Have:
Prior experience in BOI or export-oriented manufacturing environments.
Exposure to structured warehouse practices such as 5S and basic lean principles.
Experience supporting audits and stock verification processes.
